Covington’s Rich History and Your Home’s Evolution
Here’s something cool about Covington: this city has quite the story to tell. Over 100 years ago, folks called this place Jenkins Prairie. You can still see that history today. Jenkins Creek flows right through town, and there’s a local elementary school called Jenkins Creek Elementary School.
Fast forward to November 6, 1996. That’s when residents voted to make Covington an official city. Pretty coincidence that Maple Valley did the same thing on the same day! By August 31, 1997, Covington became official with about 12,200 people calling it home.
It’s been quite the transformation. This area went from quiet farmland to a bustling suburban community. Families love it here because you get that perfect mix of suburban convenience and natural beauty.
Now here’s what matters for your home: as Covington evolved, so did its plumbing needs. Whether you live in one of those charming older neighbourhoods or a brand-new development, our Covington plumbers know exactly what your home needs. We’ve worked on everything from historic homes to modern builds.
