Our experienced pros handle the entire installation & hookup process efficiently, with attention to every detail.
Here’s how the process typically works:

Preparation and Safety
Our expert turns off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker or unplugs it and shuts off the water supply at the nearest shutoff valve and lays out protective materials to prevent floor or cabinet damage.

Removing the Old Dishwasher
The plumber disconnects the electrical wiring, typically by removing wire nuts or unplugging the cord, and confirms no voltage is present. The water supply line is disconnected from the dishwasher, draining any excess water into a shallow pan. Mounting screws securing the dishwasher to the countertop or cabinet are removed, and the old dishwasher is carefully slid out, making sure not to damage flooring or cabinetry.

Preparing the Space
The plumber cleans the area, checks that the electrical and plumbing connections are in good condition, and ensures the space is ready for the new unit. If needed, they drill or enlarge holes for supply lines or drain hoses to fit properly.

Installing the New Dishwasher
The new dishwasher is unpacked and inspected for any shipping damage or missing parts. The plumber attaches a 90-degree fitting to the dishwasher’s water inlet, wrapping threads with Teflon tape to prevent leaks. The water supply line, drain hose, and electrical wiring are connected to the new dishwasher, matching wire colors and securing connections with wire nuts or clamps as appropriate. The dishwasher is carefully slid into place, with hoses and wires fed through the cabinet openings. Leveling feet are adjusted to ensure the dishwasher sits level and flush with the cabinetry.

Securing and Testing
The dishwasher is secured to the countertop or cabinet with mounting screws. The plumber turns the water and power back on, then runs the dishwasher through a test cycle to check for leaks, proper drainage, and correct operation. All connections are inspected for leaks, and adjustments are made as needed.

Final Steps
The access panel is reattached, and the work area is cleaned up. The plumber reviews the installation with the homeowner and provides any necessary maintenance tips.
