Our experts will have your clogged tub or shower cleared fast.
We employ a systematic approach and specialized tools to unclog your kitchen drain, ensuring a thorough and lasting fix.
Here’s how the process typically works:

Initial Assessment and Inspection
Our expert begins by asking about the symptoms (slow draining, standing water, odors) and inspects the shower pan and drain area. They will remove the drain cover to check for visible obstructions like hair or soap scum.

Clearing Surface Clogs
If the blockage is near the surface, the plumber will use a manual or powered drain snake (auger) to break up and extract hair, soap, and debris from the drain line. For minor clogs, a plunger may also be used.

Inspecting and Cleaning the Drain Assembly
If the clog persists, our plumber will disassemble the drain assembly. This involves removing the drain flange and strainer, then cleaning out any buildup or residue around the drain opening. All old plumber’s putty or silicone is scraped away, and the area is cleaned thoroughly before reassembly.

Deeper Blockage Removal
For stubborn or deep clogs, the plumber will use a longer auger or even hydro jetting equipment to clear the pipe all the way to the main drain line. If multiple fixtures are affected, they will inspect the main line for larger blockages.

Drain or Shower Pan Repair/Replacement (if needed)
If the drain assembly is damaged or improperly installed, the plumber will replace it. This involves: Removing the old drain flange and cleaning the area. Applying plumber’s putty or silicone to the new drain flange for a watertight seal. Inserting and tightening the new drain assembly, ensuring the rubber gasket and locking ring are secure and Reattaching the drain cover and testing for leaks or proper drainage. If the issue is related to the shower pan itself (such as leaks or cracks), the plumber may need to access the plumbing below the pan, which could involve cutting into the ceiling or wall beneath the shower to repair or replace damaged pipes or pans.

Final Testing and Clean-Up
Our plumber runs water to ensure the shower pan drains quickly and checks for leaks around the drain assembly. Any excess sealant is cleaned up, and the area is restored to its original condition.
